the politeness of scream is a work developed in the context of a residency for the Screamscape - International Institute for Scream Studies at the Fri Art - Centre d'art de Fribourg / Kunsthalle Freiburg in Switzerland.
Representing a contrast between screaming, that is one of the most powerful and extreme ways of expressing oneself only with the help of one’s body and politeness, that is a learned behaviour in order to integrate oneself in the society, the installation takes the form of a baby-puppet that mechanically breaths and politely / maturely screams.
