The send-receive operations combine in one call the sending of a message to one destination and the receiving of another message, from another process.
The sender is a person.
The receiver is an idea.
The installation represents this process as a connection between the self and the modified self. The channel is made visible and audible through moving threads attached to low-pitched loudspeakers.
